  Semester I

  In these days of multi-tasking and CNN / BBC - style of reporting, doing the task of shooting, reporting and editing has converged to one person. The four-man army of production team has become a rare phenomenon in the television reporting arena. Additionally, infotainment television works on fixed deadlines and budgets where one has to work with a capability of multitasking so as to produce content in limited such parameters. This common semester critically analyses the evolution of television as a medium, discusses communication theories and equips the students to the multitasking environment of television programming. The students get hands-on-experience to produce small programmes independently to get enough confidence to delve into their area of specialisation.

  Semester I I
This semester is meant for the area of specialization for the students. They are now exposed to environment of infotainment programming of television. They collaborate together to produce Projects of larger canvass. In the process students of each area of specialisation get to learn the technicalities and practice skills so as to better one-self and simultaneously acquire adaptability to work with team spirit. They are sent for internships at production houses, studios and channel offices to get a firsthand experience of real situations. At the end of the semester, they produce a programme from any of the following mentioned format incorporating the aesthetics of television production that they have understood and internalised.
