The curriculum at SAIMC has been designed to equip the students with the language of advertising and PR for effective communication. This one year Post Graduate Diploma course includes creative visualization, theories of communication, principles of advertising, brand and marketing, advertising strategy, market research and media planning. Special emphasis is given on theory and workshops to get a deeper insight on creative process and methodologies that go into creating a campaign. Workshops on deconstructing media, various forms of artistic expressions, values and ethics are conducted to understand the innate capabilities and the deeper purpose of media so as they have its fundamental understanding and its repercussion of the audience as consumers.

The curriculum includes developing mock presentations; pitch in exercises and a thorough analysis of well-known case studies, besides classroom lectures. Thus the students are oriented to develop appropriate sense of questioning, locating key information and evolving creative and effective communication solutions. To prepare the students for the various aspects of the industry, the students work on diverse projects like designing of posters and layouts, exhibition, planning a seminar and more.
The teachers work as guides through the whole process sharing observations and giving valuable feedback to help the students correct themselves. Life skills are imparted to students through sessions on stress management, self-awareness, teamwork and leadership skills. This helps students become confident and adapt to challenges, not only in the workplace, but also in their lives.
